아직도, 한국 이태원 참사 소식을 듣고, 할말을 잃고, 마음이 몇일 너무 아팠는데, 오랜만 함께 모여,미국에서 찬양하고 깊은 기도하니 참 좋았습니다.

제가 다니는 교회, 청소년과 대학생들이 더 기다리고 좋아하는 한달하는 Thrive 라는 찬양의 밤인데, 정말 좋았습니다.미국 오클라호마 노만 빅토리 패밀리 교회에서 수요일 찬양예배 Thrive에 남편과 수요일에 참여했습니다. 좋은 워십송이 있어서 공유합니다.한달에 한번있는 기도와 찬양의 날인데, 많은 청소년들이 매우 좋아합니다. 물론 화려한 라이트쇼와 뛰어난 워십팀이 있습니다.

​저도 성가대를 오래 하였지만, 이런  미국 찬양 무척 좋아 합니다.

Fear is Not My Future라는 곡이었습니다. 2022년 나온 앨범 곡인데, 그래미상을 받은 요즘 가장 인기 있는 가스펠 워십 송입니다.슬픈 사연으로 작곡된 곡이나 희망을 주는 곡이라 감동이 많이 됩니다. 최근 한국에서 이태원 핼러윈 사건으로 많은 150명이 사망했습니다. 한참 나이 젊은이들을 많이 잃어서 매우 안타깝고, 슬펐는데, 절망 가운데, 소망, 희망을 주는 곡들 부르니 위로가 되어서 공유합니다.

■ Fear is Not My Future,워싱송

'Fear is Not My Future'라는 곡을  부르며, 위로 받으며, 너무 감동이 되었습니다.​남편도 매우 좋아하는 곡입니다.

​이곡의 작사 배경은 이러합니다. 2015년 6월 17일 사우스캐롤라이나주 찰스턴에서 총기난사 사건이 발생했습니다. 엠마누엘 아프리카 감리교 성공회에서 성경 공부를 하던 중 9명의 아프리카계 미국인이 살해된 사건입니다. 살해된 사람들 중에는 담임목사인 주 상원 의원 Clementa C. Pinckney도 있었습니다. 이 교회는 미국에서 가장 오래된 흑인 교회 중 하나이며, 그리고 오랫동안 시민권과 관련된 행사를 조직하는 중심지였습니다. 

​당시 이것은 미국의 한 예배당에서 발생한 2건의 가장 치명적인 총기 난사 사건 중 하나였습니다. 안타까운 사건 중에도 성도들을 위로하고 희망을 잃지 않고, 곡을 작사하고 노래하며, 힘든 세상씩하게 잘 살아가고 있습니다.

■Victory Family Church

미국 오클라호마 젊은 교회Victory Family Church는 미국순복음교회입니다. 

​순복음교회가 미국 중부, 옆주인 미조리 에서 시작했습니다.

​개인적으로 미국 유학와서, 한인교회와 미국교회를 같이 다녔는데, 집근처에 이런 자유롭고, 뜨겁게 찬양하고 기도하는 교회가 한국과 달라서 문화적 차이를 느꼈지만, 이렇게 좋은 교회가 멀리 안가고 집 10분거리에 있으니 참 좋습니다.
​
미국 청소년과 근처 OU대학생 많은 젊은 유명한 풋볼과 올림픽 선수들이 다니고 있습니다. 아뭏든 기도하고 좋은 찬약하고, 기도하니 좋았습니다.

늘 힘들고 ,어려운 일이 많아도, 희망을 잃지 않고, 소망을 갇고, 하루 하루 살아야 겠습니다.

​미국에서 한국을 위해서도 기도하며, 마음에 위로를 받았습니다.
