Route 66

In this video, we will go to the famous Trans-American Route 66 in America. U.S. Route 66 runs from Chicago, Illinois, to Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California. It was completed on November 26, 1926 and designated as an American Highway, but was released on June 27, 1985.

If it was one of the first transcontinental highways in the United States at the time, then during the economic downturn in the United States, after the Great Depression of 1929, until the late 1950s, tens of thousands of Midwest peasants and eastern workers form a procession to California in search of better wages.

The widespread use of Route 66 ushered in the Renaissance. It is also at this time that writer John Steinback expressed the road as a lifeline in his novel 'The Grapes of Wrath', which deals with the miserable life of a migrant farmer. The 'Old Trade Highway', one of the first transcontinental crossings in the United States, is the predecessor of Route 66 in the east and west of the continental United States.

Then, for 30 years before and after World War II, it was called 'America's Central Street'. The nickname is derived from the meaning of the road connecting the towns of large and small from the midwest to the southwest of the United States. Route 66 is called 'Mother's Road' by Americans, and it is famous for young people with dreams from the 1950s to the 1960s traveling along this road to the western United States, leaving memories at each section. Crossing the American continent is an enjoyable journey.

Texas Route 66 continues on the next one. Have fun with the video.
